Coach Adam (Head Coach)
Coach Adam started BMX racing in the early 80’s a bunch of local Massachusetts dirt tracks. He took a hiatus from racing in the late 80’s to pursue skateboarding competitively. Came back to racing in 2021 after taking his son Austin to Billerica BMX’s season opener. Has been racing ever since. in 2023 took over as Track Operator for Billerica BMX Track. Coach Loobs
Coach Loobs grew up racing at Billerica BMX. He started as a member of our local track team and quickly shot up the national ranks as a top factory amateur and professional. He has earned 15X top-10 national rankings, is a 7X world championship finalist, and has won 150+ national races! Loobs shifted focus back to BMX in 2022, after retiring from professional DH MTB racing, and his current mission is to develop top-level BMX talent in the northeast. Coach Brisson
Coach Brisson’s journey in the world of BMX began in the town of Lunenburg, Massachusetts, where he first took to the local track as a young racer in 1980. Over the course of a decade, he dedicated himself to the sport, honing his skills and passion for BMX. His hard work and commitment paid off as he ascended to national rankings, achieving the impressive feat of being ranked number one in all of New England in 1984.
After stepping away from competitive racing for nearly three decades, Coach Brisson made a return to the sport, reigniting his passion amidst the thrills and challenges of BMX. Since returning to action, he has captured multiple Gold Cup plates—1, 2, and 3 in the Northeast region of the United States. Moreover, he has consistently ranked number one in both class and cruiser categories for the state of Massachusetts, an accomplishment he has achieved on several occasions.
Coach Brisson brings a wealth of life experience to his coaching role. With over 34 years of service as a firefighter, he exemplifies the qualities of discipline, resilience, and leadership, all of which translate seamlessly into his coaching philosophy. His career in firefighting has not only equipped him with invaluable skills but has also instilled in him a deep commitment to serving his community.
Motivated by a desire to give back to the sport that has shaped his life, Coach Brisson has dedicated himself to mentoring the younger generation of BMX riders. He believes that BMX racing is not just a sport but a powerful vehicle for personal development and life skills. Through his coaching, he aims to instill values such as teamwork, perseverance, and self-confidence in his students, providing them with tools that will benefit them both on and off the track.
Coach Brisson's mission is to foster a nurturing and encouraging environment where young riders can thrive, make lifelong friendships, and develop a strong sense of sportsmanship. His coaching style is characterized by enthusiasm, patience, and a genuine love for the sport. He understands the importance of building a strong foundation in BMX racing and strives to ensure that each rider not only hones their skills but also enjoys the journey.
